Enrico Giovannini is a professor of Economic Statistics at the Tor Vergata University in Rome and a teacher of Public Management at LUISS. He is the founder and spokesman of Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASVIS), a network including over 180 civil society entities. He served as director of the Statistics Department and Chief Statistician of OECD (2001-2009), Chairman of ISTAT (2009-2013) and Minister of Labour and Social Policies (2013-2014). In October 2014 he was awarded the order of merit “Cavaliere di Gran Croce al Merito della Repubblica”. He is the author of over 100 articles and five books on statistics and economics.
